ABOUT ABOUT

SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY by José Rivera
Directed by Bill Buddendorf

February 22-25, 2018

Arts Bank Theater | 601 S Broad St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19147

Runtime: 1 hour 30 minutes with no intermission

Today’s America is in purgatory. Barely into the 21st century, the country is divided, and for some, the world is ending, and others, it’s only beginning. José Rivera’s Sonnets for an Old Century brings together Americans from every part of this spectrum in a moment of great crisis, all with one last chance to leave a piece of themselves behind to build a better world in this new century. While they work to find the most important parts of their lives, they are forced to see their stories unfold and find what unites them all.
