The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Directed by Nicholas Wainwright
Music by Alan Menken | Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz | Book by Peter Parnell Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney film
Feared and hated by all, Quasimodo, the deformed bell ringer, is looked after by Frollo, the controlling archdeacon of Notre-Dame de Paris. In the streets, the annual Feast of Fools brings forward more than even Frollo could imagine as he finds himself- joined by the captain of the guard, Phoebus, and Quasimodo- enthralled by a beautiful gypsy Esmeralda. Chaos ensues as we truly discover what makes a monster, and what makes a man. On sing the bells of Notre Dame.
